Rachel’s dad walked out on her family when she was a little girl

Rachel’s* dad walked out on her family when she was a little girl. Her childhood was rough as she lived in poverty with her single mom, moving constantly in search of the next opportunity. After finding out she was pregnant, Rachel signed-up for Life Network’s LifeSteps parenting program and faithfully attended each appointment.

Throughout her pregnancy, Rachel earned many things she needed for her baby. The staff and volunteers became like her second family. When her daughter was born, everyone celebrated the teeny little one with big brown eyes and a head full of hair! As a single mom, Rachel struggled with anger and feelings of abandonment. Her struggles opened doors for her LifeSteps coaches to share their faith.

During one of her appointments, Rachel surrendered her life to Christ. Soon, she started attending the LifeSteps Bible study where she met other moms and her faith grew. Though life can still be challenging, Rachel sees the Lord daily working in her life and family. Her relationship with Christ has taught her much about her value and His love for her and her little boy.

Presenting the Gospel of Jesus Christ

Our prayer is to reach each client with encouragement, education, hope and truth. We treasure every baby, every mom and every dad. We know that Jesus Christ will ultimately make the greatest impact in each of their lives. Last year, 53 men and women made commitments for Christ … one person every week, on average.
